In partnership with the Town of Cochrane, Cochrane Kiwanis and Bike Cochrane are proud to announce 2024 Bike Safety Day.
With construction completed, we are back at the parking lot in front of the Garmin building located at 30 Bow Street, Cochrane.
Participants can register for 1 hour time slots starting at 9.00 am until 12.00 pm. We may open a 4th time slot (12:00-1:00 pm) if the other time slots are full.
This event is open for children aged 4-14 years old and includes:
An introduction and safety talk by Cochrane RCMP about bike safety on roads and trails.
A bike and helmet inspection by trained bike technicians.
Coupons to use for a bike tune up and/or to replace helmets if required.
Bike courses (beginner and advanced) to ride through where the participants can practice their bike safety skills and knowledge.
Door prizes.
Bike safety pamphlets and other goodies, and much more!
There is a $ 5.00 registration fee for each participant or $ 10.00 for a family. The proceeds will be donated to the Cochrane Food Bank.
