Bike Cochrane’s trail crew operates entirely on volunteers to build, maintain, remediate, and prune/clean trails in Cochrane. Trail crew tasks may include bench cutting, trimming out lines for new trails, excavator work, raking and trimming trails, preparing for races. Volunteers will be trained on how to use the tools and equipment safely and will be provided instructions on site. Volunteers are required to: * Wear closed-toe footwear and weather-appropriate clothing * Use only tools you have been shown how to use * Stay aware of terrain, weather, and other trail users * Take breaks and stay hydrated * Report injuries, near-misses, or concerns immediately.
